The Trap-Tite is designed to be used in conjunction with a code approved trap seal (P-trap) in drainage systems such as floor drains, shower drains, basement drains, mop sink drains and any maintenance area drains. The sealing rings on the outer edge of the Trap-Tite keep the device in place for the life of the product, while the inner flaps open to allow liquid to flow down the drain. The inner flaps will only open when water flows down; therefore, while the drain is not in use the flaps remain in place to block sewer gases and bugs from entering into habitable spaces. “While there are similar products on the market, we are confident the Trap-Tite is engineered precisely for the job at hand, and done so economically for the end-user.,” said Gary Clarke, VP of Marketing and Engineering.
